Principal's News for Week of March 18

In the fifth week of Lent, we are getting closer and closer to Easter, and the Gospel (John 12: 23-16) prepares us for Jesus’ Death and Resurrection.  The flowers and trees that have looked dead all winter will bloom in the spring.  In every year through the natural cycles of the seasons, we are reminded that new life comes from death.  If we love God and try to follow God’s commandments, our lives will produce much fruit too.

On Monday, March 19^th the SLCS Students and staff will return well rested from Spring Break.  Spring begins on Tuesday, March 20^th and there is a PTC officer meeting at 6:00pm.   Third grade hosts the Thursday Mass and the Advisory Council meets at 6:15pm in Naegelin Hall.  SLCS Comet Cheerleaders present at Flag Raising on Friday.  

Here at SLCS, we hear once again the stories of Jesus’ Passion and death; it fill our hearts with compassion and humility.  We as God to help us know the gifts of His love.
